Regional Aliner Camping Groups

As Aliner Owners Travel across the states, they sometimes run into other Aliner Owners. These owners seem excited to discuss the Aliner camping style to other Aliner Owners. As a result Aliner Owners have formed regional groups. Here is one story about a traveling Aliner Owner and how they happened upon the regional group near their home.

On May 1, 2008 we began a trip across the USA on our Honda Goldwing Trike (make: California Sidecar) and pulling the Alite 400. We ended up traveling 36 days to 26 states for a total of 8,364 miles. During that time we met a number of wonderful people who were very interested in our “setup”. In Kingman, Arizona we met a couple from Florida who had an Aliner camper and then when we were in Wendover, Nevada we met a gentleman from Nebraska, Hubert Paulson, who had a Sport Aliner. He told us about the Aliner Owner Club and about the different rallies.

When we arrived home in June we searched the Internet to learn more about this Club. Finally chose to join it, completed and mailed our application. By the end of July we had not received confirmation regarding our membership but we knew the Mid Atlantic Rally was going to be on August 8-10 at Buttonwood Campground in Mexico, Pennsylvania (approximately 1 ½ hours from our house). We contacted Tom and Karen Bohacek asking if we could attend. The e-mail we received from them was very informative and they included an application for the rally. We completed the application, sent it to Tom and Karen and attended the Rally. It was a wonderful experience. Everyone was so friendly and kind. They loved to share information and answered our questions with no problem.

During our lifetime we have been involved in a number of organizations and have attended different events. We just wanted to let everyone know that this was one of the best and friendliest events that we have ever had the privilege to attend. Hopefully we will be able to attend next year’s rally and continue to meet new people. Thanks Aliner Owners for being so great!!
